New units typically come with a 10 year warranty when registered by the end user within a certain timeframe. while older units may have been out of warranty for years, it's best to consult with your heating or cooling professional to find out exactly what your warranty entails. - A: Usually once a month but if you have pets or are prone to allergies than possibly more frequently.
- Q: Is maintenance really that important?
- Yes it is very important, having your system routinely maintained by a trained HVAC professional not only keeps your equipment running like it should which keeps you comfortable, in many cases the manufacturer recommends getting your unit serviced at least once a year. (In some cases manufacturers have not honored warranty claims due to the condition of a unit and lack of maintenance preformed).
